Program Associates

One of PJPAC’s primary goals is to support Malaysia’s Performing Arts Industry by providing premium spaces and facilities to practitioners of the Arts. Here are some organizations that PJPAC is proud to call Program Associates.

DAMA Asia

DAMA ASIA, a multi-award-winning bilingual theatre company, is celebrated for blending East-West harmonies in musical theatre. Since 1994, they have produced over 50 performances in countries including Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, and China, featuring Chinese and Western operas and plays. They participate in international music festivals and forums, and offer musical theatre education and workshops for all ages. Their programs foster collaborations with international theatre artists from both the East and West.

Kakiseni

Persatuan Kakiseni, based in Kuala Lumpur, is a registered non-profit promoting arts and culture in Malaysia. Launched in 2001 as an online portal for arts listings, reviews, and features, it collaborates with BOH Plantations to recognize excellence through the BOH Cameronian Arts Awards. Dedicated to sustainable arts development, Kakiseni enriches artists and audiences, advocates for the value of art and culture, and fosters creative collaborations for enriching experiences.

 

MyDance Alliance

MyDance Alliance is a non-profit membership association managed by a 10-person volunteer committee. Its mission is to unite dance practitioners and enthusiasts to support and promote dance in Malaysia. Since 2001, MyDance Alliance has organized festivals, capacity-building projects, performance platforms, workshops, and conferences. It also represents the Malaysian dance community globally, mainly through participation in World Dance Alliance Asia-Pacific.

ArtKU

ArtKU is a dynamic organization at the intersection of culture, disciplines, and borders. Rooted in dance, it serves as a platform for intercultural, interdisciplinary, and international collaborations. ArtKU produces an array of enriching experiences, including performances, workshops, seminars, festivals, and forums, fostering creative exchange and innovation. Dedicated to bridging artistic traditions and contemporary practices, ArtKU inspires and connects communities through the universal language of movement.
